 Happy Halloween! Today we went on a Halloween Parade around the school to visit the older students, we watched a Halloween show, we had centres, and we sang our 5 little pumpkin song. Ask your child if they can sing it to you!  Have a fun night trick or treating! :)

Hi Room 2! I'm sorry I missed the last two days of school. I have been sick!  The students played a math game, opened up a pumpkin and saw what was inside, painted pumpkins, and had centres and gym time.  Halloween is on Monday! As mentioned before, students may dress up for Halloween on October 31. Students are asked to not wear masks, not bring weapons/fake weapons to school, and wear school-appropriate costumes. We will not be handing out candy or treats during Halloween. You may send a special snack for your child to eat, but we will not be sharing snacks due to the many allergies in our building.  Library day is still on Monday. Have a great weekend! 

Happy Monday! We had a fun day in Kindergarten! We worked on our new spooky themed soft starts, we learned about the life cycle of a pumpkin, we played centres, we went to gym, and we learned about the "Yellow Zone" (silly zone).  See you tomorrow! 🕷

  Happy Friday!  Today we started learning about pumpkins. We observed our class pumpkins, described them, and painted pictures of them. We played centres and continued to learn about our feelings. We are working on the "Zones of Regulation" to help us figure out what "zone" we are in when we are feeling mad, happy, sad, silly, etc. We are also learning strategies that help us get back to the "Green Zone" (the happy, calm, ready-to-learn zone!).  Halloween: Students may dress up for Halloween on October 31.  Good morning! Today we learned about the Zones of Regulation. We watched a video about feelings, played a game to help recognize our feelings, and drew "feelings faces" in our journals. We read a story about what we can do when we feel mad or frustrated.  We played centres and had a small outside time on the playground.  See you tomorrow! 

We had a great day in Kindergarten! Today we learned a new math game and played it with a partner, went to library, went to gym and read a book called "What if Everybody Did That?".  As a class, we are working on following classroom expectations and being kind to our classmates.  See you tomorrow! 🌈

Hi Room 2! We had an amazing walking field trip in Fish Creek Park!! The students looked for signs of fall and worked with their groups to do a nature scavenger hunt. Thank you to the parents that came out and volunteered to walk with us! Have a wonderful weekend. 🍂

 Tomorrow is Picture Day! ⭐️ Happy Tuesday!  Today we had music. We started learning to play instruments to a steady beat, did a Turkey Pokey, and sang some songs. We had centres and introduced our new “Puppy Vet Centre”. The students loved playing Vet to the sick and injured puppies!  See you tomorrow!
